Dean of Culture (25/26 School Year)
We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families. On paper, we are a network of twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area serving students as young as twelve weeks through twelfth grade.

Role Mission:
The Dean of Culture plays a critical leadership role in creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful school environment where all students thrive. They manage school-wide behavioral systems and ensure consistent expectations and support. Through regular classroom walkthroughs, home visits, and family communication, they build strong relationships that reinforce a positive school culture. The Dean collaborates closely with instructional leaders, grade-level teams, MTSS, and attendance teams to develop and monitor interventions, lead character development groups, and support student engagement. They model and coach staff in maintaining high behavioral and academic expectations.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the execution of school-wide culture systems, including restorative practices, discipline protocols, and behavior interventions.
- Work with culture team members to ensure consistent implementation of expectations and supports.
- Conduct regular classroom walkthroughs to observe and support positive learning environments.
- Collaborate with instructional leaders and teachers to align academic and behavioral expectations across classrooms.
- Build strong relationships with students and families through home visits, daily communication, and family meetings.
- Partner with attendance and MTSS teams to analyze data and develop Tier 1–3 interventions that support student engagement and success.
- Facilitate small group character development and social-emotional learning using research-based curricula.
- Respond to behavioral incidents, lead mediations, support crisis response, and uphold Title IX investigation protocols as needed.
- Model high expectations for student behavior and coach staff in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and joyful school culture.
Qualifications
Required:
- Have at least five years of experience supporting behavior in a school environment. This could include classroom teaching experience
- Pass a background check
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
Preferred:
- Special education experience
- Ability to build strong relationships quickly with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong organizational and self-management skills to complete tasks on a deadline
Salary
This is a full-time, in-person, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $72,000-$76,800, depending on experience.
