We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families. On paper, we are a network of twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area serving students as young as twelve weeks through twelfth grade.

Role Mission

Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) is a network of high-performing public charter schools committed to educational equity, rigorous academics, and joyful classrooms. At RMP, we ensure that every teacher receives the support, coaching, and development needed to thrive and drive student success. 

The Opportunity 

The Manager of Academics plays a critical, behind-the-scenes role in the infrastructure of academic programming across K–12. This individual works closely with the Academic Team to manage instructional materials, support assessment systems, oversee curriculum ordering and licensing, and maintain alignment between academic tools and the school calendar. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about supporting high-quality instruction through strong systems and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Curriculum & Assessment Management

  • Support the transfer and organization of instructional materials across content areas.
  • Upload and maintain assessments in Illuminate.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality SAT-aligned item bank using College Board materials, in partnership with Secondary Content Directors.
  • Support curriculum updates such as test prep materials throughout the year, based on student needs and data.
  • Assist with materials preparation for the adoption of two new curricula in SY26 (K–5 Literacy and 6–8 Math).

2. Systems & Platforms Oversight

  • Manage user access and licensing for digital curriculum tools, including the 95% Group curriculum and others as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of blended learning platform usage.

3. Calendar & Scope Alignment

  • Maintain and adjust K–12 scope and sequence documents to reflect calendar shifts (e.g., snow days, holidays)
  • Align assessments and instructional planning with scope updates to maintain instructional coherence
  • Communicate scope changes clearly and promptly in collaboration with Content Directors

4. Cross-Team Project Support

  • Partner with the Director of Academic Operations on key academic initiatives and high-priority projects.
  • Coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and manage communications with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Lead logistics and ordering of academic materials in coordination with Content Directors and vendors.

Instructional Continuity & Content Director Support

  • Provide instructional systems coverage when Content Directors are focused on content-specific work.
  • Act as a strategic support to increase Content Director bandwidth by managing backend systems, scheduling, and communications.

Who You Are

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong project manager who can juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Fluent with Google Suite, especially Google Sheets. 
  • Experienced with assessment platforms like Illuminate.
  • Clear, consistent communicator and effective collaborator across diverse teams.
  • Committed to educational equity and supporting excellent instruction for all students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a school or educational organization; K–12 teaching experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with curriculum tools, assessment systems, or educational technology platforms.
  • Background in project management or academic operations.
  • Knowledge of SAT content and item bank structure
 

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Salary: Full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits: Includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision), disability insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, and paid time off.
