During the 2024-2025 school year, RMP is driving after five big goals:

  1. 85% Staff Retention
  2. 100% of campuses going green & ECE-2nd grade students growing an average of 1.25 years in math and reading
  3. 100% of seniors accepted into college
  4. 40% of 3rd-8th grade students meet their Accelerated Reader millionaire goal
  5. RMP meets its network enrollment goal

Role Mission

Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) is a network of high-performing public charter schools committed to educational equity, rigorous academics, and joyful classrooms. At RMP, we ensure that every teacher receives the support, coaching, and development needed to thrive and drive student success. 

Role Mission

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for managing a portfolio of schools toward operational excellence in Attendance, Enrollment, Safety, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and outcomes. They are a critical member of the network support team. In partnership with the network operations team, they support all schools in meeting goals and supporting student outcomes. 

 

 In this role,  you will…

  • Co-lead network strategy for student attendance/student enrollment/recruitment/school safety, and coach, develop, and drive performance for schools and their operations teams.
  • Provide direct, on-campus support and coaching to campus operation teams 
  • Provide guidance and coaching to campus leadership on progress to operational goals
  • Create and lead iterative professional development throughout the year designed to drive outcomes for students
  • Generate and maintain policy and guidance documents 
  • Lead team data reflections and action planning in response to current network data.
  • Collaboration with Principals and Executive Directors to set contextualized goals for campus operations teams responsive to their schools’ needs
  • Manage other operations processes, projects, and personnel depending on network needs.
  • Support Family Engagement Partnerships and endeavors
  • Support sourcing vacancies in portfolios
  • Serve as the point of contact for DPS/APS shared campus meetings 
  • Will support deans in the regional portfolio model
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies

  • A proven track record of results in achieving organizational goals and in using data to do so
  • Broad subject matter expertise in charter school operations, including emergency procedures, student attendance, recruitment/enrollment, school budgeting, district and vendor relations and management, and more.
  • High level of competence in the basics of project management
  • Demonstrated skill set in coaching to get results while also personalizing individual development plans and management approaches depending on the needs of the coachees.
  • Maintain a calm and even-keeled disposition when faced with multiple competing priorities and emotional stakeholders
  • An intuitive understanding of the “Ops role” in service to the academic program and to our communities.
  • This looks like an unwavering customer service mindset and the ability to project it authentically.
  • Ability to manage “up, down, and around,” leveraging influence and not titular authority to get things done.
  • Able to receive data-driven coaching, observations, and implementing feedback to improve outcomes
  • Understanding that good operations people find ways to say yes instead of reasons to say no.
  • Ability to balance reactiveness to emergent circumstances against the maintenance of a laser focus on goals and outcomes.

All Network Support Team Staff at Rocky Mountain Prep will:

  • Resist the urge to make excuses when things do not go well and take accountability, particularly regarding our students, families, and staff. 
  • Be punctual and prepared for all meetings, presentations, coaching sessions, and other professional obligations, being the model of applying rigor and love to everything we do.
  • Build your schedule around the needs of our schools, keeping in mind that NST supports the transformative work happening in our schools daily. Demonstrate an openness to responding and serving the work in our schools, regardless of what team you are on.
  • Be able to consistently demonstrate how the work you do daily improves the quality of our schools and classrooms for all of our scholars, staff, and families. 
  • Model and embody RMP’s PEAK values (Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness) in all interactions with scholars, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization to accomplish the work and build a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Operate with a level of urgency that reflects our ambitious goals as an organization, ensuring that every resource is being used to bring us closer to achieving our Concept Essence. 
  • Participate in and contribute to network-wide initiatives, professional development, and student and staff recruitment efforts.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five+ years in charter school operations
  • 2-3 years of direct managerial experience
  • Ability to travel to and work in different sites across the Denver metro area each week
  • Spanish ( highly preferred) 

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Salary: Full-time position with a salary range of $85,000 to $115,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits: Includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision), disability insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, and paid time off.
