The RMP Promise

Rocky Mountain Prep is a movement of educators, families, scholars, and advocates committed to changing public education in Colorado by democratizing college access for historically marginalized students and families. We operate twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade, and we are fundamentally a world-class learning organization that invests deeply in every educator who joins us. Teachers engage in ongoing coaching and professional development, supported by clear expectations, transparent feedback, and opportunities to strengthen their craft and advance along individualized career pathways grounded in our PEAK values. Rooted in a culture of rigor and love, RMP promises to coach, develop, and champion every team member so they can do their best work and grow as professionals, people, and leaders.

Our Approach to Teaching in the Autism Center

At Rocky Mountain Prep, we believe that every child deserves a joyful, rigorous, and inclusive education. Our Autism Center supports scholars with autism and related needs through individualized instruction in calm, structured environments, while actively promoting access to inclusive learning experiences across the broader school community. Each classroom typically includes 9 to 11 scholars, a lead teacher, and three adult supports, with additional support considered beyond that size. Our model provides teachers with access to robust instructional resources and tools to support both academic learning and functional life skills. Instruction is highly individualized, aligned to each student’s IEP, and grounded in data-driven decisions, collaboration with service providers, and partnership with families. We use visual supports, sensory strategies, and proactive behavior systems to build independence, confidence, and academic growth. Teachers are supported with clear routines, coaching, and professional development, and are empowered to create learning spaces where all scholars are safe, known, and celebrated.
