We are Rocky Mountain Prep, a movement comprised of incredible educators, families, scholars, and advocates who are changing the face of public education in Colorado by democratizing college access and preparation for historically marginalized students and families. On paper, we are a network of twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area serving students as young as twelve weeks through twelfth grade. But we are so much more than this.

During the 2024-2025 school year, RMP is driving after five big goals:
- 85% Staff Retention
- 100% of campuses going green & ECE-2nd grade students growing an average of 1.25 years in math and reading
- 100% of seniors accepted into college
- 40% of 3rd-8th grade students meet their Accelerated Reader millionaire goal
- RMP meets its network enrollment goal
Role Mission
The Manager of Mental Health plays a critical operational role in ensuring students across all 12 schools receive exceptional, equitable mental health support. This position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of mental health services, supporting the effective implementation of interventions across tiers or support. Working closely with school social workers, school psychologists, and school leadership, the Manager ensures that all mental health practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with RMP’s goals. The Manager focuses on executing the systems and strategies developed by the Director of Mental Health and Student Culture, ensuring operational excellence in practices that nurture student identity, belonging, and empowerment. By maintaining alignment with RMP’s vision of nurturing students as leaders and movement builders, the Manager ensures mental health services promote equity, healing, and personal growth.
Role Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Manage the day-to-day functioning of school social workers and psychologists, ensuring service delivery aligns alignment with RMP’s mission to create inclusive environments where students thrive.
- Implement operational processes that enable the seamless delivery of Tier 1, 2, and 3 mental health interventions.=
- Serve as the primary problem-solver for logistical challenges, ensuring staff are equipped to meet the needs of every student.
Program Implementation and Monitoring:
- Execute mental health initiatives designed by the Director of Mental Health and Student Culture, ensuring practices reflect The RMP Way values of empathy, healing, and restoration.
- Support schools in adapting network-wide systems to their unique contexts, ensuring fidelity and impact.
- Promote the integration of mental health practices with other RMP programs, such as Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and restorative justice, to holistically support student growth.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Collect, track, and analyze data on mental health interventions to evaluate impact, improve services, and drive equitable outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to the Director, highlighting trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards while using data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
Crisis Management:
- Lead school teams in responding to mental health crises, ensuring alignment with RMP’s trauma-informed, student-centered approach.
- Collaborate with external partners to provide additional resources and supports for students facing significant challenges.
- Act as an advocate for students’ mental health needs, ensuring every child has the tools to succeed.
Collaboration and School Support:
- Partner with school leadership to embed mental health practices into broader culture and academic strategies, ensuring alignment with our concept essence.
- Build strong relationships with families and communities to ensure mental health efforts are inclusive and culturally responsive.
- Serve as a liaison between school teams and the Director, ensuring effective communication and implementation of network-wide goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- CDE Licensed School Social Worker or School Psychologist
- Minimum of three years of experience as a school social worker or school psychologist, with a proven commitment to equity and cultural responsiveness.
- Operational expertise in managing and coordinating staff across multiple locations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a deep understanding of trauma-informed care.
- Ability to analyze and act on data to improve systems and outcomes.
- Dedication to The RMP Concept Essence, with a passion for fostering identity, belonging, and empowerment in students.
Salary
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $60,000 to $90,000.
